Richard Austin - UK Office Let's go Dutch ... I'm being mercilessly nagged to add a blog entry, so here it is
I know that I've been rather quiet of late but, for some reason, the powers-that-be have foolishly allowed some of the staff here to take HOLIDAY - Outrageous !
As a consequence, I've had to wear my stock adding hat to continue to supply you with all the fine goodies that the other buyers have already talked about. I didn't really think that you'd particularly want to hear about my successes in administering a de-worming tablet to the cat without it turning into a whirring ball of fur & claws (Actually the beast is remarkably tolerant, to be fair - A chilled-out puss).
But fear not !
Thursday sees a mass exodus (rather like
lemmings ) as the entire of the UK buying team set off by road & rail for three days in sunny
Utrecht in Holland. Hopefully the results of our labours (apart from the red eyes, sore feet & backache) should be leaping up on the site over the course of the following week.
Take it from me, all this 'buying on your behalf' is no light undertaking - The cars come back with the wheels splaying like something from
Wacky Races - But it's all in a weekend's work for the buying team.
