Rolling Stones Poster For Christmas
Oops! I have a 70's watercolor poster 24.5 x 37 in of the Rolling Stones still in package and in excellent condition. Concert in Denmark. Never saw this poster on any internet site. Glen Campbell Greatest Hits 1971
This is music of a bygone age in Country pop but is a classic because of it and the remarkable talents of Glen Campbell himself. Five Jimmy Webb (4 Classics!) can't be bad and it is worth buying if only because the sound and style of the late sixties make this stand up as a stand alone album. Later collections mixed together later hits that don't fit this era so well. In spite of the lyrics echoing a surprising amount of sexist outlooks (an era when men were men and women were grateful) the songs remain fabulously singable and a must for all. What a period piece!! Probably a marmite album but I simply couldn't resist this slice of late sixties Americana...		[reply to this topic]

A good steamy song which I had forgotten about. Was expecting it to be on Jennifer Lopezs' greatest hits cd, but wasn't, so decided to buy. I like a remix and this is good. But I didn't give a higher rating as its only a 2 track single and there's no video either.		[reply to this topic]

I remember there used to be a list of forthcoming release dates of titles in their various formats.
Where is that now??!

Question to EIL:
Hi there,
I have a 10" black vinyl record which has a blank white label and inscribed in the run off area DOW 1, either JTS or JT5 and orlake. There are four tracks, two to each side, and the genre is reggae/dub. I thought that it may be David Bowie but according to your site, it should have six tracks so I am a little confused. I have the record for sale on ebay since yesterday and have two watchers already but have listed the artist/track listing as unknown and just given the etching details.
Can you help me any further please?

Review: nice quirky little package
It's interesting watching this and other VCD I own and seeing how it developed from that format in the mid 90s to DVDs that arrived a couple of years later.

This title has since been issued on DVD though that is not much better quality.

My main gripe with this is the big catalogue sticker eil stuck on the spine meaning you can't read what it is.

I just received the Skip Bifferty 45" On Love b/w Cover Girl. Killer debut record by am amazing Group from Newcastle,England. Skip Bifferty put out a sole album on RCA which is a perfect document of the swinging 60's London underground of the time. It's an amazing album and still holds up today. A 2 cd set was released a few years ago which included the album, all of the singles and a bevy of tantalizing songs performed on the bbc network. This is well worth investigating for the amount of sheer talent these guys embodied. amazing songwriting and inventive arrangements.

Rare Australian B-sides album
I have in my collection an Elton John release from Rocket Records/Polygram Australia, entitled "The Other Sides - Special Collectors' Edition".
I bought this vinyl LP brand new in 1982 and have never actually played it. It comprises 12 B-sides from Elton's single releases between 1978 and 1982.
I have scoured the internet for other copies of this or even documentation of its existence, and can find nothing at all.
The disc is in excellent/as new condition and the sleeve has a few marks but nothing serious.
I have no idea what this is worth. Any offers or suggestions?		[reply to this topic]

i've also got a 1st print copy of rubber soul the vinyl is excellent condition a few light scuffs no jumps or clicks plays as good as the day it was bought, though the rear of the cover has slight damp damage but not to any of pics or text & also inner EMITEX still in one piece with cellophane window.
