Bah Humbug! Well December is finally here and that means time to dig out the tinsel and start thinking about Christmas, unless like me you have no enthusiasm for the festive period and have decided to do all your shopping during the afternoon of December 24th. That day is still a couple of weeks away yet so still plenty of time to order something for the music collector in your life.
Over the weekend 3 of the UK buyers, myself included headed off to Utrecht in Holland for the largest record fair in the world. There we poured over litterally thousands of items on hundreds of stalls, selecting only the best of the best for inclusion on our site, providing you lucky people with the opportunity to fill the gaps in your collections.
Between the 3 of us we purchased so many cool items it would be impossible to list them all here on the blog, so check out my latest arrivals over the next few days as it will take a while to prepare everything.
Whist you're all waiting here are my favourite five items already added to the site today....

Question to EIL: Or anyone else who can help :Beatles Collec Hi, I am posting this for my sister who doesnt have net access. She is wondering roughly how much this box set would be worth. Most albums are still in there original plastic sleeves never been played all in ex cond. I think it is 12 Albums and associated extras plus the White album printed by EMI Label. I have found other box sets printed by other labels but couldnt find any info on EMI. Thanks for your help.
Hi Everyone. As the year comes to a close, momentum tends to slow down for some, but certainly not for us at eil.com.November and December always mean business around here, and the amount of new product arriving daily is staggering! Rock and Metal fans may have noticed a recent bounty of amazing rarities hitting our site lately, such as the elusive Iron Maiden Archive Sampler CD, this authentic and Fully-Autographed Metallica Fender Squier Stratocaster Guitar or this Def Leppard Bringin’ On The Heartbreak Original US 12” Single from 1984.If Bob Dylan is more your style, we have in stock only a few remaining copies of his US exclusive Love Sick CD, which you may remember was originally available to purchase only in US Victoria’s Secret stores. One of our best sellers by far in recent months has been the John Lennon “Remember” Opus Collection CD, which ...
The Siamese Singles was originally a set of black vinyl 7" singles which were pressed in a limited quantity for worldwide release. This was followed by a Peach vinyl Rocket 7" housed in a collectors box , it was intended that all the following coloured vinyl 7" would be placed inside as a collectors set. Traditionally the Rocket was sold individually but increasingly fans have completed the set, hence this appearing on the EIL web site. These are 100% genuine as with all items stocked on the web site. Hope that helps Thanks

Review: Fantastic piece of music by a few members of the original line up with a little help from Arthur Baker. The Film is rubbish but these rare tracks are certainly something to put on your MP3 Player. Remember Peter Gunn with Duane Eddy 1986, & TV's Max Headroom on Paranoimia 1986, well Dragnet almost fits the same category without the guests. This is must for Art Of Noise Listeners.

Question to EIL: i am digging through my record collection, and i have just come across The Kinks- You Really Got Me, on Mode records cat no. md.9017, on looking on the net, i saw that you had a red vinyl version of this, mine probably sadly is on black vinyl, can you shed any light on the value of this record thanks Joey
Bonjour... Right, that's about the extent of my knowledge off all things French, apart from some lovely items picked up recently - The CD's are already on the system and are mainly French exclusive or promo-only releases and include, amongst others, items from James, Moby, New Order, Talk Talk, U2 and XTC.
Keep watching for some fabulous French rare VINYL & poster items coming very soon...
I am delighted to report I have just added an immense Indie classic namely - JOSEF K Sorry For Laughing Ultra rare 1981 withdrawn and consequently unreleased Vinyl LP white label test pressing on Postcard Records. Shelved by the band due to the mix being too clean and unrepresentative of their powerful live performances. The production is a little stodgy and the mastering of the album lacked punch and energy. This was released in test pressing form ONLY - Your chance to own ONE
Mexican Miguel Last weekend was a pretty slow one here in Mexico but I did manage to
find some new Roxette mexican promotional CDs. I also picked up
one really beautiful Beatles banner plus various Christmas EMI artists
point of sale/instore displays. I'll be sending these to the UK
office this week. One or two awards include an amazing and
obviously genuine Pet Shop Boys one (I've not even seen it yet but will
be collecting it later today) plus one (very large one!) by the
incredibly popular Luis Miguel - click here for more items by him.

No Sleep 'Til Meopham Hi All, Arrived safely back from Utrecht with piles of goodies & four limbs that feel like they've been sledgehammered and a back that's trying to remember how to walk upright.
In the great traditions of 'Police Squad', as per usual our boss was home before us.
The other buyers will be updating you on the superb items that will soon be forthcoming from their efforts but I thought I'd pre-warn you all about some of mine.
I managed to find some wonderful & now very deleted German issue 'Original Jazz Classic' LPs by the likes of Chet Baker, Miles Davis and more in mint & unplayed condition. This series by Fantasy featured a collection of legendary albums that would cost several hundred pounds each if you were lucky enough to find a playable original. These labours of love reproduce the original sleeve artwork & labels, giving you a perfect copy from the original masters at a fraction of the price!
Still on the jazz front, I managed to pick up some beautiful condition late 50s UK originals - 12" LPs & 10" LPs - with magnificent clean white backs, scalloped flipback laminated sleeves & fantastic vinyl.
Rounding off the Jazz, there are some multi CD sets for those that prefer their audio digital.
On the prog/psyche front, watch out for some German issues of THE legendary Vertigo swirl originals in amazing near MINT condition along with many more hard-to-find rarities.
It may have caused us much stress & physical pain (even I only had four cups of coffee over the two days of trekking round & round the mammoth halls) but I suppose that we are fitter in body & mind as a result.
Our reward is in knowing that somebody, somewhere, will delight in finally obtaining that ONE elusive rarity that they have been hunting down for years without the associated aching corpus caused by walking miles in a freezing giant hall to find it.

Exclusive Interview On the eve of the release of their devilishly good new single 'The Devil Made Me Do It', we grab five minutes with Thunder bass player Chris Childs for a chat about the new single and all things Thunder.
Proof Artwork... Recently acquired has been a batch of original proof artwork for a variety of collectable artists - I cannot stress how rare/sought after this kind of product is. Made in minimal quantities in the form of lay-up boards or proof sheets/cards, they are the paper equivalent of vinyl acetates or test pressings. Check out examples from the likes of Tori Amos, AC/DC, A-Ha and Prince + an amazing collection of Madonna items. Superb items in their own right, these really are investment items for the future...
