Laura Stoneman - UK and Import Releases UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 7th Dec '06 10:16 (GMT)IMPORTANT!!! We have just received notification from our rep at Warner regarding this LP set. At the last minute Warner US decided not to go ahead with the coloured vinyl and pressed it on plain black vinyl instead but failed to inform Warner UK about this change. Many apologise for any inconvenience caused. We have only just found out ourselves. Thanks Laura.[reply to this topic ]

Neal Handley-Sawer - Merchandise Buyer UNITED KINGDOM Created Wed 6th Dec '06 17:34 (GMT)Gentlemen [and ladies too], please raise your glasses... A short while ago I highlighted the mugs we have in stock as part of my great Christmas gifts idea, so I thought I'd give a mention to the glasses we have here too. Choose from large glasses from either The Who , AC/DC , HIM , Rolling Stones or Sex Pistols , twin glass sets from The Beatles [two different styles in stock - here and here ], and finally twin shot glasses from Green Day , Elvis , The Who , HIM , AC/DC , Sex Pistols and finally the Rolling Stones . Each comes in a presentation box and can be dispatched immediately - ideal to help solve the annual Christmas present conundrum - CHEERS! [reply to this topic ]

GT Torquay, Devon UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 5th Dec '06 16:53 (GMT)Queen Belt This belt was in fact available on the Queen Fan Club Merchandise sheet at the start of 1977 after the release of A Day At The Races. So is in fact NOT a promo, but a specially made item for general sale to fan club members. I have one, and is plastic coated so is not that strong.[reply to this topic ]

only leather belt, approximately 40" long by 1" deep, nicely faced with
a blue vinyl frontage with 'Queen', 'A Day At The Races' & horse logo

Stephen Borkowski - UK Buyer UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 5th Dec '06 13:59 (GMT) Edited Tue 5th Dec '06 14:18 (GMT) Edited 2 times Bah Humbug! Well December is finally here and that means time to dig out the tinsel and start thinking about Christmas, unless like me you have no enthusiasm for the festive period and have decided to do all your shopping during the afternoon of December 24th. That day is still a couple of weeks away yet so still plenty of time to order something for the music collector in your life.
Over the weekend 3 of the UK buyers, myself included headed off to Utrecht in Holland for the largest record fair in the world. There we poured over litterally thousands of items on hundreds of stalls, selecting only the best of the best for inclusion on our site, providing you lucky people with the opportunity to fill the gaps in your collections.
Between the 3 of us we purchased so many cool items it would be impossible to list them all here on the blog, so check out my latest arrivals over the next few days as it will take a while to prepare everything.
Whist you're all waiting here are my favourite five items already added to the site today....

HI The Siamese Singles was originally a set of black vinyl 7" singles which were pressed in a limited quantity for worldwide release. This was followed by a Peach vinyl Rocket 7" housed in a collectors box , it was intended that all the following coloured vinyl 7" would be placed inside as a collectors set. Traditionally the Rocket was sold individually but increasingly fans have completed the set, hence this appearing on the EIL web site. These are 100% genuine as with all items stocked on the web site. Hope that helps Thanks [reply to this topic ]

Colin Robinson Coventry, West Midlands UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 4th Dec '06 19:31 (GMT)Review: Fantastic piece of music by a few members of the original line up with a little help from Arthur Baker. The Film is rubbish but these rare tracks are certainly something to put on your MP3 Player. Remember Peter Gunn with Duane Eddy 1986, & TV's Max Headroom on Paranoimia 1986, well Dragnet almost fits the same category without the guests. This is must for Art Of Noise Listeners.[reply to this topic ]

Robin Salazar - South American Office MEXICO Created Mon 4th Dec '06 10:18 (GMT)Mexican Miguel Last weekend was a pretty slow one here in Mexico but I did manage to
find some new Roxette mexican promotional CDs. I also picked up
one really beautiful Beatles banner plus various Christmas EMI artists
point of sale/instore displays. I'll be sending these to the UK
office this week. One or two awards include an amazing and
obviously genuine Pet Shop Boys one (I've not even seen it yet but will
be collecting it later today) plus one (very large one!) by the
incredibly popular Luis Miguel - click here for more items by him.

Richard Austin - UK Office UNITED KINGDOM Created Sun 3rd Dec '06 15:15 (GMT) Edited Mon 4th Dec '06 15:36 (GMT) Edited 2 times No Sleep 'Til Meopham Hi All, Arrived safely back from Utrecht with piles of goodies & four limbs that feel like they've been sledgehammered and a back that's trying to remember how to walk upright.
In the great traditions of 'Police Squad', as per usual our boss was home before us.
The other buyers will be updating you on the superb items that will soon be forthcoming from their efforts but I thought I'd pre-warn you all about some of mine.
I managed to find some wonderful & now very deleted German issue 'Original Jazz Classic' LPs by the likes of
Chet Baker ,
Miles Davis and more in mint & unplayed condition. This series by Fantasy featured a collection of legendary albums that would cost several hundred pounds each if you were lucky enough to find a playable original. These labours of love reproduce the original sleeve artwork & labels, giving you a perfect copy from the original masters at a fraction of the price!
Still on the jazz front, I managed to pick up some beautiful condition late 50s UK originals - 12" LPs & 10" LPs - with magnificent clean white backs, scalloped flipback laminated sleeves & fantastic vinyl.
Rounding off the Jazz, there are some multi CD sets for those that prefer their audio digital.
On the prog/psyche front, watch out for some German issues of THE legendary Vertigo swirl originals in amazing near MINT condition along with many more hard-to-find rarities.
It may have caused us much stress & physical pain (even
I only had four cups of coffee over the two days of trekking round & round the mammoth halls) but I suppose that we are fitter in body & mind as a result.
Our reward is in knowing that somebody, somewhere, will delight in finally obtaining that ONE elusive rarity that they have been hunting down for years without the associated aching corpus caused by walking miles in a freezing giant hall to find it.
