BUY THIS GUITAR! CLICK HERE!!It's Genuine! And it's Rockin'!Take Your Pick!! Click HERE!

Hi Everyone.  Last Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi hosted the venerable American TV show Saturday Night Live to stretch his comedy muscles, and was also joined on-stage by Bon Jovi for a performance well worthy of the band's enduring legacy.  It's difficult to remember a time when Bon Jovi wasn't seein' a million faces, and rockin' 'em all!  They've been a top seller for us since the beginning, and we've been proud to offer only the coolest items for Bon Jovi fans and collectors.  The preeminent new Jovi item, just added TODAY, is this amazing, FULLY AUTOGRAPHED STAGG GUITAR, beautifully signed and complete with its carrying case, strap, cables, amp, whammy bar and  and even a spare set of strings and a CD-ROM!  It's absolutely authentic, spectacular, and certainly one-of-a-kind!  If Karera is more your style, check out this impressive FULLY AUTOGRAPHED KARERA GUITAR.  Once these are gone, they are GONE!  You'll have but one chance to RUNAWAY with a guitar... but if you miss out, you'll be IN AND OUT OF LOVE...  So KEEP THE FAITH and LAY YOUR HANDS ON... a totally rockin' guitar!  Have a great week, everyone.

The art of music

One of my favesYesterday I had the
day off and met up in London with a photographer friend to visit The Art of Lee
Miller
exhibition at the V&A museum. To quote their own introduction, "Lee
Miller (1907 - 1977) is one of the most remarkable female icons of the 20th
century - an individual admired as much for her free-spirit, creativity and
intelligence as for her classical beauty. Charting her transformation from muse
to ground-breaking artist, this centenary exhibition provides a unique
exploration of her life and unprecedented career as a photographer."
If you're
in any way interested in black & white photography this exhibition is
essential viewing. Images from the 1929-1932 Surrealist Paris section were a
particular highlight, although quite what she would have made of some of the
items available in the gift shop I have no idea.....branded jars of Lee Miller
apple jelly certainly seemed surreal to me! To bring this post back to the
subject of music my photographer friend has, over the years, worked with
luminaries such as Fin Costello, Andy Earl and Max Vadukul, all of whom have
been instrumental in creating some of the iconic album covers of the past few
decades. Full size, 12" x 12" high quality album covers are to me an essential
element of the whole music package, whether abstract designs from Factory's
Peter Saville, the glam excess of 80's new romantics fashion or the traditional
group portrait they all add an extra sensory dimension to the music. I'm afraid
a Jpeg or mini screen graphic will never quite have the same effect as the full
glory of a proper album cover. Discuss...

Stuck for something to listen to?
Ever wondered what we listen to whilst sorting, pricing and researching? Well here in the darkened basement of Hollywood House there are currently four people with wildly different ideas about what constitutes a good album or band so the music we listen to is quite eclectic and sometimes very challenging depending on who gets to the CD player first. Recently I picked up a massive 2000 piece vinyl collection so we've been working our way through THIS, a very debatable list of 1001 albums you should hear before you die. Everyone here in the office has their own favourites and we all question some of the inclusions and ask ourselves why other albums have been overlooked completely, but I guess like all these other books that contain 'definitive lists', there are someone else opinion. I struggle to understand why I need to hear 3 Bruce Springsteen or Crosby, Stills and Nash albums when they all sound the same to me!

Prince Gotta Stop (Messin' About) - 1st - Face Sleeve 7inch Single UNITED KINGDOM PRI07GO09356Re: PRINCE Gotta Stop (Messin' About) (Extremely rare 1981 UK first issue solid centre 7" single, with 'STRAWBERRY' stamped into the run out groove, also including Uptown, and housed in the original flipback style black & white 'face' picture sleeve. Now a very difficult single to find in any condition and now a highly sought after pressing. The sleeve displays some light wear, with some ringwear mostly on the reverse, but has no splits or rips. The labels are very clean with very little signs ofage spindle marks, whilst the vinyl remains in a 'near as new' condition with little signs of ever seeing a turntable. A must have for any collection K17819)

OK.
Fed up with all those 'normal' tunes ? Fancy something a bit sticky bun ?

Sadly, the Ginger Geezer is no longer with us, but the legacy of the man & his chums lives on [as do a great deal of the chums too].

I'm not even going to tell you what you should be rushing out to buy TODAY, as that is coercion & that is naughty.

Suffice to say that the good people at EMI have released special 2007 remasters of five of the finest albums ever released and, having now listened to two of the five, they are wonderful.

If you haven't got these albums you deserve to be swung by your toes over a pit of mating porcupines.

So there !

Live Tori, anyone ?
Looks like those of you attending the US leg of the World Tour are in for a treat.
Toriamos.com is making available a series of complete shows for download in either lossy MP3 or (here's the good news) lossless FLAC format.

About time more people started doing this. I think that bands are now realising that far from 'killing music', this kind of thing is superb promotion and actually results in more sales rather than less.

Fripp & Crimson have been doing this for a while now & several other bands (The Who, The Stones) have also wised up.

So, once you've pulled down the live show of your choice HERE, you can visit our Collectors Store to pick up the bits of the back catalogue that you're missing - Win-Win !

It's awsome, a 1984 CD single... WOW... It's been a life time to get my hands on one of this beauties. All original, and in perfect quality. I would love to ask this item, who owned it before myself, a lot of history I might just get as reply. I believe, to date on eil, there is still one more copy... IT'S A MUST HAVE for any Metallica fan that it's trying to have all the original releases, including singles. Specially this rarities that where sold as new once a long time ago. I'm really happy... I'm on my seventh Heaven right now!!!! Oh.... I have to thank my fiancée for giving me half the value for this CD as a gift... I do recomend it, mint condition as It was promised, sealed on a plastic protector, the whole case is in mint condition as well. I look forward on selecting more of those lost items on my catalogue... METAL UP YOUR ASS!!!

Micks greatest, according to the man himself. The songs from the 80's haven't aged very well. From the Primitive Cool album, only "Let's work" made it ot the album. There are three previously unreleased songs, Charmed life (ordinary), Too many cooks (produced by John Lennon, that the only thing special about it) and Checkin' up on my baby (which strats me wondering, do we ever get the whole Red Devils session on a prpoer album?).
The DVD contains an interview and 9 video's from songs on the CD, you'll probably look at them once.
