IAN BOWLER Downley, High Wycombe, Bucks UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 10th Jan '17 19:40 (GMT)Label I have a copy of Sabotage with serial nems 9119 001 deluxe on back sleeve and spine, however the label has the nems black label and silver lettering but not the records and tapes writing. I brought the record in 1978 so I am aware this is not a first press but I can find no reference to this label or issue any assistance greatly received and appreciated.[reply to this topic ]
Re: BLACK SABBATH Sabotage (Rare 1975 UK first issue 9-track vinyl LP
with 'Nems Records & Tapes' logo and catalogue number '9119 001',
their sixth studio album was recorded in the midst of a legal battle
with their former manager Patrick Meehan and was co-produced by
guitarist Tony Iommi with Mike Butcher; including the uncredited
album closer 'Blow On A Jug'. The textured picture sleeve has the
same catalogue number printed on the spine & the back and shows
very little signs of storage or shelfwear save for a couple of very light
creases. The vinyl is in wonderful condition showing only one or two
very minor signs of only minimal signs of play!) View this product

the textured pink with white 'i' logo label design, gatefold
picture sleeve manufactured by E.J. Day. The sleeve shows a
degree of scuffing & light ring wear due to its matt finish but
all text remains legible including along the spine, & the
artwork inside remains largely unaffected. The vinyl has been
professionally cleaned & although there is a handful of
spindlemarks bythe centre hole, there is little lessening in
soundquality thanks to the quality of sixties British vinyl. A
lovely example at a great price ILPS9104) View this product

I know this, because I have it. This EP was re-released, and slightly repackaged on Paw Print Records, in late 2011, and again more recently under Ed's new label (which currently has Jamie Lawson and Foy Vance signed to it), Gingerbread Man Records.[reply to this topic ]

Queencollector147 Glasgow UNITED KINGDOM Created Sun 30th Oct '16 01:01 (GMT)Condition Looks like more than just "minor" wear to sleeve. From photo, there is visible ringwear, creasing and what looks like a split on the bottom right. How can that be graded as "minor"?[reply to this topic ]

Clacky Bristol UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 27th Oct '16 15:41 (GMT)"Brown" vinyl Can I just say that your "brown"vinyl is in correct. This was a regular occurrence during the 1970's. It's where the record pressing plant have used lesser quality vinyl to make the record. It happened a lot with records on Pye - and affiliated labels and usually the 99p albums you could buy in Woolworths, etc. Because of the fuel crisis companies used to use rubbish supply of vinyl or re-ground material which when held up to the light looked 'brown/red'. This album was never issued on brown vinyl. Especially in 1974 as they weren't even doing coloured vinyl editions in this part of the 70's. That happened about 4 years later. Maddy007 Fleetwood, Lancashire UNITED KINGDOM Created Sun 12th Jun '16 21:28 (GMT)Question to EIL: how much are these worth?? Hi my parents have been having a clear out and came across these 2 tshirts and jumper originally from when they went to KNEBWORTH to watch led zeppelin and others. The t-shirts are from the 1st day and jumper from the 2nd day. I have pictures of parents both wearing these tshirts at the concert and have been stored ever since. The jumper does have 2 holes on the arms and a little tear at the bottom. But just wondering what is best to do with them sell them or keep them for longer?? Many thanks[reply to this topic ]

JasonEil UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 4th Apr '16 11:33 (GMT)Original Soundtrack Doctor Dolittle Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased you're happy with your order and found the item "excellent copy as advertised". We don't tend to wash vinyl before we sell as we generally only list items in at least "excellent" condition. Also, we we currently list hundreds of items each day in would obviously increase the cost to start washing all vinyl. Thanks again for the feedback and we hope you you find something again soon that you would like to order. Kind regards, Jason[reply to this topic ]
