Stephen Borkowski - UK Buyer Two Conventions in Two Weeks.... What a hectic couple of weeks it's been for me! I went to Beatlefest with Peter and that went really well though New Jersey was COLD. The night I landed we had over 6" of snow and the airports were closed with over 600 flights cancelled! Ringo Caps . I found it amazing that there is SO much US 60's memorabilia that UK collectors have never seen and a lot of UK stuff that US collectors have never seen.
The trip was over too quickly as usual but I did get chance to sample some great food including a genuine Jersey Diner (great milkshake) and the best pizza I've ever had (thanks Peter), so if you are ever in New York check out Sal & Carmines at Broadway & 102nd - you won't regret it!
I hit the ground running when I got back, picking up a few collections, one consisting entirely of Beatles singles from around the world and another of 80's 12", then Saturday I made the annual trip to the Queen convention to see what I could find.
At the marketplace I purchased one of the items that I have personally been looking for for 10 years - the Made In Heaven promotional bottle of Rothschild Chateau Lafite 1er Grand Cru Classe Paulliac A Kind Of Magic LP autographed Miracle album Live at the Beeb
At the charity auction I secured an autographed Brian May Mini May guitar
