RUSH Rush (Original Master Recording limited edition Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab 8-track double album 2-LP mastered by Krieg Wunderlich on the Gain 2 Ultra Analog System, specially plated and pressed on 180-gram High-Definition Vinyl at 45RPM. Mobile Fidelity's numbered-edition 2-LP set presents Rush's self-titled debut in definitive audiophile sound and at 45RPM speed for the first time. Benefitting from superb groove definition, an ultra-low noise floor, and dead-quiet surfaces, this collectible version captures what went down at two Toronto studios with engaging presence, tonal precision, and enhanced dynamics. The wider grooves of the 45RPM pressing also contribute to improved tracking and high-frequency preservation, letting Geddy Lee's signature high vocals and Alex Lifeson's guitar leads land with a presence and separation the standard-speed pressings can't quite match. Recorded before Neil Peart joined the band, it's built almost entirely around guitar, bass and John Rutsey's drums, and includes "Working Man" and the acoustic-to-electric suite "Before and After," a genuine hint of the more ambitious direction Rush would soon take. Gatefold picture sleeve individually gold-foil numbered and factory sealed. Recommended)
