Question to EIL:
Hi

I have Elton Johns Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on the DJM black and yellow labels 1973 LP.

The interesting part is the black & yellow DJM label is stated made in the United States and not the uk and it's not on the normal black usa rainbow MCA label, but for some reason the DJM label does have the scratched MCA matrix numbers including the "[]-G-[]" the emblem for pressings at MCA's Gloversville, New York plant pressed in the deadwax on one side of one label only, all the rest are scratched out.

I have searched and trawled the internet, but for life I can't find any more of this pressing.

Matrix details
Record one) side 1: MCA 354 - w2, side 2: MCA 355 - w2.
Record two) side 3: MCA 356 - w1, side 4: MCA 357 - w1

The sound quality and stereo separation were due to a new technique (at the time) called 'Holophonics' best listened to on headphones!

i have a genuine 1978 euro tour 1978,if you want blood tour sweatshirt for sale on ebay rite now. starting bid is �5 but to be clear this is totally mint,not a mark on it and no rips or holes nothing,its like new,so with that in mind and same kinda thing has brought over �600 dont miss it,i challenge you to find another one anywhere? this is MEGA MEGA RARE,so i do have a good reserve on it but no where near that top end? so go on Ebay take a look and start bidding!!!!

There She Went
Actually from 1988 this version of There She Goes.It's a different mix and edit of TSG and the b-sides were different songs on the 1991 re-issue.Also the record label was 'Go!Discs' (Hence the GoLas catalogue #) and not Fontana.

Hello I have a VHS copy copy McLinton! with a cover I can't seem to find anywhere. It has a mixture of two other Mclinton covers. One of Jonn Waynes face over the one of him jumping from an explosion. It also has R.B.C. ENTERTAINMENT, "DIGITALLY REMASTERED FROM ORIGINAL PRINT" header, "IN BEAUTIFUL COLOUR", "127 mins" and "MADE IN 1963" on cover. Any thoughts/comments?

Question to EIL:
I have just purchased a copy of the item below to as part of an investigation. I bought a copy of this 45 at a charity shop and can't find any details on this copy even Disc cogs don't recognise the copy. The copy I have is VS777 but has a wide centre. The matrix runout for A side is stamped VS777 A-2U-1-1-1, the B side is VS777 B-2U-1-1-1.
The copy from EIL is as identified A side VS777 A 2U-1-3-1 and B side VS777 B 2U-1-1-X1. I am assuming the difference maybe due to issue releases. Can't explain wide centre the centre is tidy does not look like it has been modified. Can anyone help to clarify.

WOW after posting this I did some research on matrix identifiers what a mine field these identifiers could be issue numbers, where the pressing was made and so and so on. Some seem straight forward others you need to have a degree in decoding some you may never know what they identify. Ah well has anyone any good websites which help with identifiers.

I own several copies of this record. All of the USA copies (caterpillar label 'PRC', butterfly label 'SP' like this one for sale, white label promo of butterfly 'SP' and plain label 'CSM' with ornate 'Queen' titles) have both tracks credited to Queen, not May or Deacon. I also have a Canadian copy and a New Zealand copy, both of which credit both tracks to Queen. I would therefore contend that this version was NOT withdrawn due to labels being incorrectly printed since it seems to be consistently wrong on most if not all known varieties, so it is misleading to imply that. Still hard to find though as it wasn't widely released and didn't sell as well as Queen's better-known tracks.

			Re: QUEEN Long Away (Rare withdrawn 1976 US-only Elektra 'Butterfly' label wide centre 7" single, this is the groups only single not to feature Freedie on vocals instead they are provided by Brian, also including You And I; the labels are printed incorrectly with both songs credited to Queen where as Side A was by Brian May and Side B by John Deacon. The vinyl is strictly graded VG/VG+, with some noticeable minor surface marks and the occasional light scratch. A respectable copyof this hard to find single E-45412) View this product
