Saul Watson - Product Promotion UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 21st Aug '08 11:33 (GMT) Edited Thu 21st Aug '08 11:36 (GMT) Edited 3 times Revolution, Evolution and Gift Finding Solutions Here is a link to Ikea. I suggest you opt for the Ramvik at £69.
Why am I pointing you towards Sweden's finest furniture emporium? Simple really, you will need a strong coffee table to bare the weight of this bible-esque tome.
'45 Revolutions' is the definitive book on punk, mod, powerpop, new wave, NWOBHM, and indie singles issued in the UK and in Ireland between late 1976 and the end of 1979.
Clocking in at just under 1200 pages, this is the first volume in a projected series of discographies dealing with the initial era of Punk Rock. Fully annotated with descriptions and colour images of every release included - this is staggeringly detailed. Unquestionably worth the money for those interested in the vinyl documentation of the era.
So what do you get? Well in a nutshell; 2000+ artists, 3000+ singles, 4500+ picture sleeves and labels in full colour, Hits, Failures and Obscurities. Demo's, Promo's and Worldwide Pressings. Line-ups, Histories and Futures as well as Rarity and Collectability Ratings.
I know it's only August but
"you know what" is just about to rear its ugly tinsel clad head, so give yourself a head start for once. Here's the important link again.

It a album that keeps the good name of Judge Dread alive. Many of the tracks will be new' each of them have that Judge Dread sound of a Reggae and Ska classic. Having been a good friend of Judge Dread and his writing partner' Ted Lemmon, this album is a tribute to two people who cast their friendship to me many years ago. I have this album in my collection, I cannot beleve the price Eil are selling it for' its cheaper than buying the album direct for Germany' I kick myself evey time I see it. I will keep looking through their list of Judge Dread album and will purchase his albums' this will save me a great deal of money' what is left I will buy more from Eil with what is left over. I recormend this album to all Judge Dread fans and collectors alike! vinylmaster[reply to this topic ]

vinylmaster Cardiff, South Glamorgan Wales UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 19th Aug '08 12:57 (GMT)Review: I have had this album in my Bonnie Tyler persnal collectio for a while, although released in the UK' this one which EIL have for sale has a better cover the original UK issue. The album it self must be in the top 5 of all Bonnies albums released here in the UK and worldwide. There is not a bad song on this album' it lets you hear just how good her voice is! which has to be one of the very best for a female led vocalist. So what you waiting for' get your cash out and order the album direct from EIL' it will be with you within' 48 hours' then you get place it into your CD player' close your eyes and just Drift Away! If' as a fan or collector' the price EIL are selling it, is amazing, so muh so I wish I waited before I bought my copy' which was bought through a welknown Uk outlet' it would have saved me quite amount of cash. Please do not make the mistake I did, you will be able to pick it up from EIL for at least 50% less than I bought my copy for.[reply to this topic ]

J.Turner UNITED KINGDOM Created Sun 17th Aug '08 20:34 (GMT)Please, correct the description of this item. This is a (withdrawn) Queen promo DVD from a production run of 25,000 -30,000. These were produced for the electronics company Pioneer in 1997 to be launched with a new range of DVD players. They were withdrawn by Queen Productions Ltd. as the DVD players were recalled due to a manufacturing fault and subsequently have been in storage until 1000 were given to QFC members at the Queen convention this year. I wish people would get their facts correct before posting comments on eil.com.[reply to this topic ]
Re: QUEEN Greatest Flix I & II (Rare 1997 UK limited promotional
only double sided Region 2 DVD manufactured in Holland.
Featuring the two classic volumes of the Greatest Flix release
on one double sided disc. Housed in a custom maroon & gold
embossed digipak-style picture sleeve with the iconic Queen
crest and text on the back in gold, and individually numbered.
This was produced to help promote a DVD player
manufactured by Pioneer, however, after Pioneer had to
re-call the player dueto technical problems, thousands of this
set never saw the light of day and were destroyed. The
majority of these were later available at the 23rd Queen Fan
Convention in 2008. Now a difficult item to find, this example
remains factory sealed , unopened and unplayed!

kellster Morgantown, WV USA Created Sun 17th Aug '08 17:52 (GMT)Question to EIL: I have a Mutual Broadcasting System 12 record set called "The Rolling Stones Past & Present". This was a radio broadcast set for 9/30 , 10/1, 10/2, and 10/3 1982. I also have 12 "Format & Commercial Schedule" sheets listing all the segments and commercials the radio stations had agreed to run. Also there is the original letter from the Director of Music Programming for Mutual Broadcasting describing the music special. All records, record sleeves, commercial schedules and introduction letter are in excellent condition. They might be mint expecially the records and sleeves. I also have a hard cover album box with a picture (like a silhouette) of Mick on it. Any idea as to value. Thank you for your opinion. John[reply to this topic ]
westielover Boughton, Nottinghamshire UNITED KINGDOM Created Fri 15th Aug '08 09:37 (GMT)50 worldwide hits vol 1 I am in the process of selling my Elvis collection as I no longer have room to store it. But am confused as to a particular LP set. I have 2 sets of 50 WORLDWIDE hits VOL 1 but they are not the same. They both have the orange centre so one is not the reissue with the tan label. they look identical labels apart from one set has the word MONO after the disc side number. Also the numbers for each disc side are different type style. Apart from this they have identical labels, colour and text. Both say rca UK both say same issue year. Can anyone shed any light on why one set says MONO on the actual disc label. They both say MONO on the front cover of the box. Do I have an oddity where something has been misprinted or are they actually different issues done in the same year.[reply to this topic ]
Adrian_Argentina Buenos Aires ARGENTINA Created Thu 14th Aug '08 13:56 (GMT) Edited Thu 14th Aug '08 13:59 (GMT) Edited 2 times A real gem! Hi EIL community! This fantastic concert seems to reunite almost the best catalogue of songs from Genesis, with tracks from three great Genesis albums as A Trick Of The Tale, Wind And Wuthering and Duke as well as some Gabriel-era songs. The biggest positive surprise for me was the new tracks from the And Then There Were Three album, with the superb opener Deep In The Motherlod. One For the Vine is also performed and is fantastic too! Maybe this concert can be made better if it is given an upgrade in terms of picture and sound quality in the future. On the DVD-Audio version of Duke (just re-released in hybrid SACD/DVD-Audio), there is, as an extra feature, a selection of live tracks from the same show in London in 1980. Compared to this DVD, the bonus feature on the Duke DVD-Audio is presented in much better sound and picture quality. This means that it would be possible to upgrade the Live In London DVD and give it the same sound and picture quality as the selection on the Duke feature. Until then, this version is a MUST and highly recommended! [reply to this topic ]
