david miller UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 23rd Nov '09 11:10 (GMT)Re: OASIS Columbia [Demo] (Super rare 1993 UK original Creation
Records single sided promotional-only vinyl 12", limited to just
510 copies and distributed to radio & media for Christmas 1993,
long before their Supersonic debut single was released inApril
'94. This is the genuine original first issue, with correct matrix
number CTP8A and 'DAMONT AUDIO L.T.D.' etched into the
run-out. Housed inside its original black sleeve complete with the
even rarer "Not wishing to wind everybody up,..." hype sticker
and Garry Blackburn Anglo Plugging Co plugging sticker.
Historically this is the first vinyl release ever to bear the Oasis
name! Astonishingly this example remains unplayed and has
impeccable provenance having come from the personal archive of
the industry exec who promoted it back in the day...! CTP8) View this product

stevedsj UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 17th Nov '09 21:19 (GMT)Doors - LA Woman -180gm vinyl this is a superb item, it'll be one of my most prized possessins. It's beautifully manufactured ansthe sound quality is excellent, an improvement over my original copy, which is just about worn out. The Doors were a very undr-rated band, a group of superb musiciand who worked hard together to achieve results. You can hear this if you listen well enough. Robbie Kreiger's guitar work is exceptional, full of vitality and fire. Riders on the Storm is one of the best listening experiences you can get. I'm so happy I bought this album, it's well worth the asking price![reply to this topic ]

carnivaloflife Ipswich UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 16th Nov '09 12:27 (GMT)Review: Having been a Marc Almond fan from the very early 80,s i collect everything available on him. The songs on this Sampler are exactly the same as the Album versions so you would have to be a hard core fan to buy something like this. It would probably be of no interest to a general listener where the Album would surfice. A great unique item for any serious collector of Marc Almond plus it is becoming very difficult to obtain which makes it a rare gem. A must have for any hard core fan.[reply to this topic ]

When I was a teenager, I had my original Nirvana CDs, first pressings, stolen from me and I would like to repurchase them, preferably still sealed. MisterRod25 Warrensville Hts, Ohio USA Created Sun 8th Nov '09 09:31 (GMT)Review: The Family (1985) is one of the earliest Paisley Park releases. To this second, it remains one of my favorites. The album's eight songs range from funky jams peppered with Jerome Benton's trademark holler-style vocals to more stylized midtempo songs. The highlights are the lead single, "The Screams Of Passion", the too funky JB's-esque instrumental "Yes" and the original studio rendering of "Nothing Compares 2 U" featuring an exquisite orchestral arrangement by the legendary Clare Fischer. Anyone who's into the sounds that sprung from Prince's creative well during the '80's will surely love this album.[reply to this topic ]

MercuryRising Sydney, New South Wales AUSTRALIA Created Sun 8th Nov '09 06:27 (GMT)Queen Picture Discs I think it's great that they were released in the 70's, but as for the forgeries that are now available-once all from Mexico and now apparently you can get a complete set from Belgium at $50.00(Aus) each. The artists make no money just the bootleggers. I have started buying up the new 180 Gram reissues, which are fantastic, never to be played (LOL) just to look at of course. I have also been fortunate from EBay to grab ahold of 4 LP Bootlegs from the 70's, may sound hypercritical but there the ones to look out for. Anyone got a spare copy of Roger's first single for sale(1977)???I wish. Tony/Sydney/Australia.[reply to this topic ]
