grazel london UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 6th May '10 18:28 (GMT)Heavy Petting I have an original copy of this album by Dr Srangely Strange on the UK Vertigo label in great condition and die cut album cover all good, very, very unusual album indeed. I recently managed to get this on digital and I am willing to sell this original album if anyone is interested in making an offer[reply to this topic ]
Re: DR STRANGELY STRANGE Heavy Petting (Rare 1970 UK 11-track
stereo LP on a Vertigo 'swirl' label, the group's second longplayer
expertly produced by the great Joe Boyd. Housed in a unique, unusual
fold-out die-cut picture sleeve with lyrics scattered about on the inside
and the reverse. A beautiful item for Vertigo collectors and fans of the
'Strangely Strange', the sleeve, so often torn reveals just the very
lightest of edge wear with some faint residue to the front cover.
Despite having a mis-aligned label o one side, the vinyl displays just
a couple of light hairlines, housed in its original 'swirl' inner! An
incredible copy we're unlikely to see again any time soon...) £ 1,295.00, US$ 1,735.30 View this product

mrlewp Dover, DE USA Created Mon 19th Apr '10 02:09 (GMT)Jim McCurdy Jim , Wayne Poore here. I played with Stanley Steamer the final 3 months before their demise. Perhaps I hurried it ! ha. Dave Herzer was the drummer then. You and I worked together with Walter Scott, briefly, when you replaced Dave H. in that group. I think you joined us in New Orleans. We were let go early at that club. Do you remember that? I had this album in the early 70's. Loaned it to a drummer friend of mine, and never got it back ! (you know how them drummers are, dontcha!!? ...... kidding) W.[reply to this topic ]
