Lizard King Jim LA 69 Morpeth, Northumberland UNITED KINGDOM Created Fri 17th Apr '09 12:07 (GMT) Edited Fri 17th Apr '09 13:04 (GMT)Capability Brown "Voice" Japanese CD Does anyone have a copy of this item that they want to sell at a reasonable price please? Alternatively a CD-R of the CD. Going to a good home of an original Geordie Capability Brown fan who saw them live a few times in and around Newcastle Upon Tyne circa 1973, already had their vinyl LPs and singles, some Harmony Grass vinyl and singles and subsequently bought the 2 Krazy Kat LPs on the Mountain label. My own CD-Rs of the vinyl unfortunately contain any crackles and noise on the original.[reply to this topic ]
Intruder ITALY Created Wed 15th Apr '09 16:05 (GMT)The left laminate in the picture is an absolute fake... It is described as a "'Commemorative' pass for the 1973-1993 celebratory series of concerts": but there never was such a "series". Furthermore, Peter Gabriel has NEVER allowed images of his Genesis days to be associated with his current persona during any of his solo tours! Oh, and the pass on the right is for the US leg of his 1980 tour (not 1980-81) Cheers...[reply to this topic ]
Re: PETER GABRIEL Pair of Laminated Backstage Passes (Pair of genuine
unused and unissued Tour Laminate Passes manufactured by the U.S
company Perri, who along with Otto were responsible for providing the
majority of artists with backstage passes andlaminates throughout the
1970s, 80s and 90s. The passes in this set are unissued, unused
over-runs. It was commonplace for the manufacturer to destroy or
give away any unused passes once a tour was over, making these
highly desirable. One ofthe passes is a Backstage 'Staff' pass for the
1980-81 Tour with album artwork, whilst the second is a
'Commemorative' pass for the 1973-1993 celebratory series of

1987 Australian 13-track special limited edition RED VINYL issue of the
classic 1967 stereo LP, cut at Festival Records by Warren
Barnett as EMI did not have the facilities to press coloured
vinyl (some say this pressing is every bit the sonic equal of
the 1983 audiophile pressing), custom stickered gatefold

a little faint cosmetic wear & just the odd tiny paper split,
barely noticeable, whilst the vinyl is Excellent with just mild
evidence of play PCSO7027) View this product

the large Vertigo 'swirl' label, textured gatefold picture sleeve with a
striking full colour 'pop art' style image printed inside. The sleeve

recommended classic Vertigo LP) £ 495.00, US$ 623.70 View this product

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 31st Mar '09 12:45 (GMT)Question to EIL: This IS a 2nd pressing, indicated by the title, which was originally 'Heaven Is In Your Mind' in the US [only very briefly - UA soon changed the title back to 'Mr Fantasy']. The cover pictures are not indicative of the pressing, as Dave Mason left the group before the album was released [obviously he was reinstated before recording began on the 2nd LP]. Re: additional tracks, it was common practice in the US to include single tracks, which were often omitted from the UK equivalent.[reply to this topic ]
Re: TRAFFIC Mr Fantasy (1968 US 12-track LP on the orange & purple
label with the second cover design pasted picture sleeve, completely
different to the UK issue. The first US issue was entitled 'Heaven Is In
Your Mind'. The American edition features an altered track listing and
different cover art with Winwood, Capaldi and Wood but not Mason,
who had quit the band prior to the album’s release. The US LP added
the British singles 'Paper Sun', 'Hole In My Shoe' and 'Smiling Phases'
to the album’s running order, along with a short snippet of the UK
single 'Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush' as a recurring motif
between tracks. The American edition also tacked on the short closing
track 'We’re A Fade, You Missed This', which is actually the fadeout of
an alternate version of 'Paper Sun'. The first album was withdrawn
after the success of 'Mr. Fantasy' & re-issued like this the following
year with slightly different sleeve art, although retaining the US specific
tracklisting. The sleeve shows just a little shelfwear & the vinyl remains
excellent with just a few light surface scuffs to show for its forty years

Re: THE GEORGE-EDWARDS GROUP 38:38 (2009 issue UK limited edition
14-track vinyl LP - If you've never heard of it before, that just means
it's rare, right? This makes The George-Edwards Group's '38:38' one
of the rarest private press albums of all time. '38:38' departs from the
norm of the genre: instead of a low-fi demo quality outing elevated
mainly by dealer hype, this album is a haunting piece of music that
offers an unusually highbrow take on the archetypal Midwestern rock
'n' roll existentialism usually addressed with a solid beat and sneering
vocal. Crafting their sound out of the many influences of the day,
Edward Balian and Ray George created pop music with acoustic
guitars and harmonies, heavily reverberant piano riffs, cold sheets of
synthesizer, bells and chimes. This release of '38:38' includes
never-seen-before art, photos and original liners, press releases &
notes, as well as a song from an equally rare 7" single not found on
the original LP pressing.) View this product
