Today, I have mostly
been buying CDs.  In fact I have picked-up just over 10,000 of the circular
little blighters.  Now the real work begins, sorting, separating, researching,
pricing and adding them to our stock selections so that you can browse to your
hearts' content and, hopefully, bag some for yourselves.  As ever, keep an eye
on the latest arrivals over the course of the next week or so, and you should
begin to see the results of today's strenuous wet-weather efforts. 

In addition to the
CDs I also did an interesting deal for some long out-of-print Oasis vinyl,
including some of their promo-only releases.  More will be revealed once I've
been through all the boxes, but it's worth checking back in a day or two for
some incredible bargains...keep watching this space.

Not content with
spending all week together in the same office, I ventured pub-wards yesterday
evening for a well-earned sherbet with fellow buyers Richard and Steve. Our
weekly haunt, The Cock Inn at Luddesdowne, has been awarded local Camra Pub Of
The Year for the past 3 years in a row and I'm happy to report that the Harvey's
Sussex and Woodforde's Wherry were in fine order. You'd think spending all week
buying, selling and talking about music would lead to a change of subject once
away from the office, but no, it just seemed natural to extend our daily
influences & chat to the pub environment. These guys never cease to amaze
me with their knowledge of music. I readily admit I know more about records than
I do about music so it's always a pleasure to be a part of their conversational
exchanges. Although Richard did manage to get in both Frank Zappa and Hawkwind
references within the first five minutes, causing Steve to counter with a couple
of well-chosen Queen retorts.

We're about to
embark on a few foreign buying trips in the coming weeks so our next
get-together won't be until Thursday 1st November - why not drop us a line if
