The 1968 debut album from The Millennium, a sunshine pop and psychedelia project that merged hard rock, breezy ballads and psychedelic textures into a cohesive concept album. At the time it was the most expensive album Columbia had ever produced, and the songwriting is both innovative and disciplined, avoiding the type of overindulgence that marred many records from the era. The album is widely regarded as a lostclassic, easily on the level of other albums from the period such as The Notorious Byrd Brothers.

HERBIE HANCOCK Death Wish (2026 UK/EU 9-track LP pressed on 180 Gram Black Vinyl)

The 1974 soundtrack to the Charles Bronson action film, following closely upon the success of Headhunters. Hancock is one of the most prolific jazz pianists of the 20th century, a child prodigy who played with Donald Byrd and Miles Davis. Known for embracing and mastering the electric piano while staying true to the acoustic sound, he bounced back and forth between his electronic and acoustic approaches, touching upon almost every development in R&B, funk and jazz while retaining an original and distinctive voice.

The understated orchestrations mirror the quiet, desperate brooding of Bronson's character. Includes "Death Wish (Main Title)" and "Joanna's Theme".

DEXTER WANSEL Life On Mars (2026 UK/EU 8-track LP pressed on 180 Gram Black Vinyl)

The 1976 debut album by the American R&B and jazz fusion singer, arranger, musician, composer and conductor, widely celebrated asa space-funk and cosmic jazz-fusion classic. Inspired by David Bowie's 'Life on Mars?', Wansel composed his own sci-fi sounds with swirling, ring-like oscillators, cosmic sub tones, and metallic, otherworldly leads using his signature ARP 2600 synthesizer. The album features 'Life on Mars' and 'Theme From The Planets', whose drum beat intro is hailed as being one of the first foundation beats of hip-hop.

Wansel's pioneering synth sound was shared on numerous records with artists including MFSB, Billy Paul, Evelyn 'Champagne' King, Teddy Pendergrass and The Jones Girls. His sampled music has been used by Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa and Ice Cube amongst others. Recommended.

The second studio album by Dutch progressive rock band Focus, originally released in 1971 as Focus IIand repackaged worldwide as Moving Waves. Formed in Amsterdam in late 1969, the band recorded this album with the line-up Jan Akkerman, Thijs van Leer, Cyril Havermans and Pierre van der Linden, and became one of the most influential Dutch rock bands of the 1970s.

The album was an international hit upon release, reaching No. 2 in the UK, No. 4 in the Netherlands and No. 8 in the US album charts. It includes the group's most successful single "Hocus Pocus". Moving Waves appears in Q and Mojo's list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums".

This 55th anniversary edition is remastered from the first-generation studio master tapes by Focus and Jan Akkerman archivist Wouter Bessels. Recommended.

The Cranberries were captured at the historic London Astoria II while on tour promoting their breakthrough debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, performing the classic hits "Linger" and "Dreams"alongside early versions of songs that would appear on their follow-up album No Need To Argue.

BB & Q BAND Genie | The Expanded Edition (40th Anniversary Expanded Edition 2026 UK/EU 14-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180 Gram Blue Vinyl)

The1986 album from the Brooklyn, Bronx & Queens Band, now reissued for the first time in celebration of its 40th anniversary. BB & Q Band was the creation of Jacques Fred Petrus and Mauro Malavasi. Genie was co-produced by Petrusand written and produced by multi-instrumentalist Kae Williams II, a member of the funk-soul group Breakwater.

The album features lead vocals by Curtis Hairston, with backing vocals by Ullanda McCullough, guitar by Mike Campbell, and bass by Timmy Allen. Hairston's smooth vocal style, often compared to Luther Vandross and Peabo Bryson, later led to solo success with his self-titled 1986 album.

This expanded double album includes the original 1986 album in full alongside Bonus Tracks comprising nu-disco house remixes of "Genie" and "Dreamer" by Michael Gray and "Ricochet" by Michael Gray & Dr Packer. Also included are the original US 12" version of "Dreamer" by Shep Pettibone, Ben Liebrand's Dutch "The Finest Remix" of "Main Attraction" and Dancin' Danny D's UK remix of "Riccochet". Originally released in 2015, Bad Magic marked the final studio album from Motörhead. Recorded by the enduring trio of Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee, the album delivered a set of hard-hitting originals alongside a memorable interpretation of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil". The record captures the direct, no-nonsense songwriting that defined the band's later years, maintaining the raw energy and uncompromising attitude that had characterised their work across four decades.

The album features contributions from producer Cameron Webb, who had worked with the band on several prior releases. Tracks such as "Thunder & Lightning", "When the Sky Comes Looking for You", and "Victory or Die" showcase the band's commitment to their signature sound, balancing aggression with melodic sensibility. MOTÖRHEAD Under Cöver (2026 UK/EU 11-track LP pressed on Black Vinyl)

Originally released in 2017, Under Cöver brings together Motörhead's recordings of songs that influenced the band, with versions of tracks by artistsincluding David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols and Judas Priest. Spanning sessions from different points in the band's career, the collection offers a fresh perspective on Motörhead's influences while retaining the unmistakable sound of Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee.

"Heroes" serves as the emotional centrepiece of this collection: recorded during the 2015 Bad Magic sessions, it's one of Lemmy Kilmister's final studio performances, and rather than tear the David Bowie/Brian Eno original apart, the band gives it a genuine sense of weathered dignity. Elsewhere, Saxon frontman Biff Byford guests on Rainbow's "Starstruck," and on "Whiplash," Motörhead's tribute to Metallica, the band flips the lyric to declare "We are Motörhead" instead. "Hellraiser," originally co-written by Lemmy himself with Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde, rounds out a set that also includes Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law," the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen" and two Rolling Stones covers, "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Sympathy for the Devil."
