"World Alone" is the first taste of From The Dark, Tony Iommi's third solo album and his first in 21 years, arriving just over a year after Black Sabbath's farewell show and the death of Ozzy Osbourne weeks later. Norwegian vocalist Jørn Lande fronts the track and co-wrote every song on the record, backed by bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil, with Iommi co-producing alongside longtime collaborator Mike Exeter. Revolver called it "a mid-paced pounder where stalactite-pointed chugs and scorching, wah-craned solo passages burn beneath" Lande's vocals, while Iommi himself has said simply: "It's an album we've really enjoyed making. PLAYER Baby Come Back (Thousand Club Numbered Edition 2026 UK/EU 2-track 7" single, individually bronze-foil numbered and limited to 1,000 copies. Peter Beckett and J.C. Crowley met by chance at a Hollywood party, the only two people there whose outfits didn't quite fit in with the crowd, and that unlikely meeting became Player. Both men were nursing recent breakups, and they poured that heartbreak directly into "Baby Come Back," a song that went on to spend three consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1978 and 32 weeks on the chart overall. It remains one of the defining recordings of the yacht rock era. This edition is part of the Thousand Club series, cut entirely analogue from the original album master tapes, with lacquers cut at Abbey Road Studios by Sean Magee.
