AL ET AL Strange Affair (Rare Archive Quality 1981 UK Private
Press 14-track vinyl LP - The One and only album from the
contemporary psych-folk band, carried by the melancholic songwriting
of Allan Thompson, over the top of beautiful instrumentation. Released
on the small Arny's Shack Records label, which belonged to engineer
Tony Arnold [who also worked on Three of a Perfect Pair by King
Crimson as well several recordings from Robert Fripp]. The picture
sleeve displays artworkby Jill Cassidy which is is bright and vivid,
with no fading to the back of the sleeve which also has a band
biography. The vinyl itself is stunning, retaining a just-pressed sheen
and is in near mint condition. This is the first time we have seen this
cult favourite, and rarely appears in this kind of condition.
