pressed on Splatter Coloured Vinyl. Following the
groundbreaking success of Concerto for Group and
Orchestra, Deep Purple's Jon Lord returned with
his ambitious follow-up, Gemini Suite - his very first solo
album. Originally recorded in 1971 with the London Symphony
Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold, the suite blends
classical grandeur with rock muscle, featuring guest soloists
from across the musical spectrum. Each of the suite's five
long-form movements was inspired by a member of Deep
Purple, with iconic performances from Albert Lee (guitar), Ian
Paice (drums), Roger Glover (bass), Yvonne Elliman & Tony
Ashton (vocals), and of course, Jon Lord himself (piano &
organ). This remastered reissue faithfully reproduces the
original 1971 gatefold artwork, now pressed on striking
Black, White, Orange
& Pink Splatter
