presented copy of the third full-length album by American
Football, the influential Illinois outfit whose delicate interplay,
open-tuned guitars and wistful lyricism helped define the
sound of modern emo and Midwest indie rock. Released in
2019, LP3 finds the band expanding their sonic palette with
elegant brass textures, shimmering vibraphone, and
atmospheric production, while still retaining the heartfelt
introspection that made their earlier work so enduring.
Highlights include the luminous Silhouettes, the slow-burning
Uncomfortably Numb (featuring Hayley Williams of
Paramore), and the richly layered Heir Apparent.
It comes housed in a matte picture sleeve with its original
lyric booklet, offering additional artwork and insight into the
record’s themes. The sleeve shows a little shelfwear to the
