by <B>The Power Station</B> returns in a 40th anniversary
deluxe 4-CD edition, presented in a clamshell picture box.
Originally released in 1985 during a hiatus period for
<B>Duran Duran</B>, the project brought together
<B>Robert Palmer</B>, Chic drummer <B>Tony
Thompson<?B>, and Duran members <B>John Taylor</B> and
<B>Andy Taylor</B>, with <B>Bernard Edwards</B>
producing and <B>Nile Rodgers</B> contributing informal
assistance! The album yielded the hit singles "Some Like It
Hot" and "Get It On (Bang A Gong)" and quickly became one
of the most recognisable supergroup releases of the
mid-1980s. While Robert Palmer only appeared with the band
live on a single occasion, subsequent touring and Live Aid
performances featured <B>Michael Des Barres</B>, whose
vocals are documented extensively in this reissue. This
deluxe set includes the original album newly remastered, raw
instrumental session recordings, remixes, their Live Aid
performance, and previously unreleased live recordings from
The Spectrum in Philadelphia, newly mixed for this edition by
Richard Whittaker. The box also includes a 12-page booklet
featuring a new interview with John Taylor and Andy Taylor
