groundbreaking debut album from Trent Reznor's Nine Inch
Nails laid the foundation for industrial rock's 1990s explosion
- but its DNA is rooted deeply in the dark synth-pop of the
'80s. Anchored by the anthemic opener <B>"Head Like A
Hole"</B> and the defiant stomp of <B>"Sin"</B> and
<B>"Down In It"</B>, the album blends infectious electronic
hooks with brooding lyricism and cathartic aggression.
Reznor's masterful use of synths, samples, and drum
programming drives tracks like <B>"Terrible Lie",
"Sanctified"</B>, and <B>"That's What I Get"</B>, while the
haunting ballad <B>"Something I Can Never Have"</B>
reveals a more vulnerable core. <I>Pretty Hate Machine</I>

Housed within a matte picture sleeve that still retains it's
