The labels are black with Parlophone logo in yellow and tracklisting in silver. The labels have the 'Gramophone Co' perimeter text & 'Sold In The UK' print & the KT tax code is clearly visible on the first side.
The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the dead wax thus:

Condition : -
The front laminated picture sleeve is a deep shade of purple with '6809' dated Garrod & Lofthouse bottom flipback. The sleeve (graded G) shows some obvious wear mostly to the edges and a little more so to the bottom edge where corner creasing has scuffed/torn the flipback. All text is legible & there are no splits, with only the lightest of discolouration/foxing, mainly to the back.
The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & appears in VG condition. There are some spindle marks by the centre hole, as well there might be for such a classic release, there are some noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Thanks to the quality of sixties vinyl, playback is much higher than our initial visual grading.
Not Mint, but an ideal play copy of this rare & desirable first press.
