History:
The sixth release by the Rolling Stones was recorded over a number of sporadic sessions amidst a blur of court appearances, prison sentences, & psychedelic drugs. Arguably one of the Stones' more 'out there' affairs, it received mixed reviews at the time, & remains a controversial release in their back catalogue.

As the matrix numbers on this copy contain the T2 identifier, while still being part of the first pressing run, it shows that this was in fact the stereo recording folded down to one channel, so has to technically be classed a 'second' press.
Condition:
The sleeve has a curvature probably caused by the 3D section contracting over time, otherwise there are few real signs of wear other than just a little rubbing at the corners. The inside gatefold shows a tape repair to the inside spine.
This is the first issue sleeve with the mono text on the bottom right hand corner of the back of the sleeve. Later issues had this printed on the top right hand corner. Also worth noting that if you look closely in the 3D part of the sleeve you can pick out images of Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison lurking amongst the psychedelia. Good luck, it took me a while to spot them!
The vinyl has light scuffs and hairlines with moderate spindle wear to indicate play, sans serif text on labels. The labels are free from paper loss or writing; by no means mint this is a very pleasing VG copy.
This is an essential purchase for any serious Stones collector. Do not miss out, as it may be years before we see one this nice again!
