Ozz</I> was Ozzy Osbourne's first release following his departure
from Black Sabbath the previous year, recorded with a newly
assembled band featuring guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Bob Daisley
and drummer Lee Kerslake at Ridge Farm Studio. It became
Osbourne's best-selling solo album,certified five times platinum in the
US and selling over six million copies worldwide, a commercial peak
he wouldn't match again until 1991's <I>No More Tears</I>. Rhoads'
guitar work across the record, particularly his solos on "Crazy Train"
and "Mr. Crowley," later ranked among <I>Guitar World</I> readers'
greatest solos of all time, cementing his reputation before his death in
1982 and his eventual posthumous induction into the <B>Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame</B>. The album also includes "Suicide Solution," a
track that became the subject of a widely publicised wrongful death
lawsuit in the 1980s over claims it had influenced a listener's suicide, a
case ultimately dismissed but one that followed Osbourne for years
afterward. This edition is presented on Silver Vinyl with Red Swirls, in
a picture sleeve reproducing the original cover artwork, factory
