NTSC DVD - In 1979, Madonna Ciccone walked away from her
University of Michigan scholarship to persue a dance career in
New York City. After struggling to find a break, she met a
musiciannamed Dan Gilroy. Dan taught Madonna to play drums
and then guitar, enlisting his brother Ed to start a band called
Breakfast Club. But nothing lasts forever, bands broke up,
managers came & went, as Madonna realized that the only
person who could take her where she wanted was herself.
Interviews with Dan & Ed Gilroy, Gary Burke and other friends
from these days give us a first-hand account ofthe magical time,
while JAMIE AULD plays the star in re-enacted dramatizations of
some of the most pivotal moments. The disc comes housed
within the DVD casing with a wrap-around picture sleeve inlay
featuring stills from the film).
