Recorded at Abbey Road and Olympic Studios between June and November 1967, by the time of the April 1968 release of 'Odessey And Oracle', the Zombies had effectively split-up. This obviously hampered promotion of the album and sales were low as a result.
This Japanese first pressing was released in April 1969.

rare 1969 Japanese promotional sample 12-track stereo LP with
custom black on yellow labels with 'Not For Sale' print, complete with
Japanese/lyric insert & pasted picture sleeve with unique black & white
slick on the back. Overlooked on its original release, but now
regarded as one of the finest English pop/psych albums of the era,
this edition is now very hard to find. Despite a 2" hairline split in the
top edge, the cover grades VG+, with rich, vivid colours on the front &
some scuff marks to the corners [small paper split top left]. There is
some light foxing to the panels, a little more apparent on the black &
white rear but this is a very nice copy nonetheless. Japanese jackets
were made of sturdy stuff, & although it's unlaminated, this particular
cover appears more like a deluxe edition. The vinyl remains Near
Mint. Very hard to find an original promo vinyl copy of this classic
