This is the stereo press (PCS 7027) released on a noticeably light vinyl, with grooves barely visible as though one song was pressed each side. Another oddity with this release is no artist name, album title or catalogue number is printed on the spine, therefore is a simple plain white. The cover is a single sleeve design instead of a gatefold without any extras.
The back is a more salmon pink instead of red, printed with lyrics and contains 'An Apple Record. Manufactured and Distributed by The Gramophone Company of India Limited. One of the E.M.I Group of Companies. Dum Dum. India. Recording produced by George Martin. Cover by MC Productions and The Apple staged by Peter Blake and Jann Haworth, photographed by Michael Cooper. Wax figures by Madame Tussauds. A splendid time is guaranteed for all', along with 'Printed at The Eagle Lithographing Co (P) Ltd. India'.
The labels are the classic yellow on black Parlophone design, with a circle 'PARI Member - Approved' logo next to the pound sound. The perimeter text states 'Manufactured under license by DYNA Products, Inc. in the Philippines'.
Condition
The sleeve shows only light signs of wear with just a couple of light creases to the laminate, otherwise very nice.
The vinyl has a few light surface marks which are mostly cosmetic, the labels have just a couple of light marks around the spindle hole but nothing to excessive.
Although not mint, this is still a very nice example and the first we have ever seen.
