Sleeve:-
The sleeve shows some general wear, with just a little scuffing at the corners & edges to show for its fifty five years.
Printed & made by Garrod & Lofthouse with secure round ended flipbacks which bear both the 'Patents Pending' text & '6809 ' date of manufacture.
Apart from that, there are just a few light laminate creases, with the smallest amount of light age yellowing near the opening. Easily EX-/EX & far, far better than usually found, with all colours still bright & all text, including the spine, clearly readable.
The inner is the EMI red tint advert inner, common to the period.
Vinyl:-
The Matrices in the run off area both end -1.
The labels are the familiar yellow on black Parlophone label with 'Gramophone Co' perimeter text & 'Sold In The UK' credit.
The labels are still bright & clean, with only a few light spindle marks and free of paper loss and writing. The 'KT' tax code is evident on side one.
The vinyl itself is staggering and, although obviously played, shows less than a handful of light surface hairlines. Thanks to the heavyweight vinyl & quality pressing of this 1968 classic, what marks that are evident are primarily cosmetic in nature & do not interfere with play, with just the odd pop or click present.
A wonderful copy of this rare mono debut album in astonishing EX-/EX condition !
