Poll-Winners All-Stars Concert, staged at the Empire Pool, London
[now Wembley Arena] on Sunday April 21st. The show featured the
Beatles as one of four guest attractions - their first appearance at
this prestigious event, just a month after the release of the 'Please
Please Me' album, with 'From Me To You' riding high in the charts.
According to their biography inside "their big ambition is to make their
distinctive Merseyside R&B sound even more popular in Britain"!
Other artists on the bill included Billy Fury, The Tornados, Mike Berry,
The Shadows, Cliff Richard, Adam Faith, The Springfields and Frank
Ifield. This item remains in superb condition - all pages are intact and
beautifully clean, with just light foxing on the front, no creases, nicks,
rips or tears!).
