Details of the rare Factory Sample issue :-
The labels have 'The Parlophone Co', 'Recording First Published 1963' and 'Dominion Belinda' [without 'NCB'] credit for Money. The initial 'Gotta' misprint has been corrected, as well as the incidental misprints of 'Domion' & 'Wilson' that carried over from the first pressings. There is a 'Factory Sample' sticker on Side Two.
The matrices are XEX 447-7N & XEX 448-7N
Condition :-
Vinyl - This remains in VG+/EX- condition.
Upon very close inspection under strong light, there is evidence of a small surface scuff on side one but this is almost completely inaudible. When played, the between track noise is kept to a minimum and the rich full sound of the original vinyl still comes through. Visually VG+/EX- but sonically, thanks to the high quality pressings of the day, a good EX.
Sleeve - This also remains in EX-/EX condition.
The front shows just a little light laminate creasing with only a small amount of general wear.
The back has a 3" x 1½" area where it has been stained by a historic sticker of some kind, although it has been cleanly removed without any resulting paper loss. The unlaminated back otherwise shows just a little age yellowing with time but nothing unreasonable.
The bottom round ended flip has the 'Patents Pending' text and is made by Garrod & Lofthouse.
All in all a very nice copy of this rare 'Factory Sample' issue in overall VG+/EX- condition at a suitably advantageous price.
