In May 1961, the Beatles were the backup band for singer 'Tony Sheridan' which resulted eight tracks being recorded. Six of the tracks featured Sheridan on vocals, one of which was an instrumental written by John Lennon and George Harrison and the other track 'Ain't She Sweet' which featured lead vocals by John Lennon himself. Some the recordings were released on singles during 1961 but they began to turn up on albums after the Beatles had become famous. This album contains four of these recordings along with four tracks by 'Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers' aka The Beatles!
