The Beatles A Hard Day's Night - ¾ Length 'Hankake' Obi-Strip Japanese vinyl LP album (LP record)

This amazing rarity comes with a letter of provenance, in Japanese, from the original vendor who purchased the album in 1964. In the letter he describes how he kept the delicate obi-strip separate from the album in a scrapbook for many years, preserving it so it remained in near perfect condition.
The labels have a matt finish & are black Odeon labels with silver text. Both sides have many spindle marks but no damage or writing on them.
The vinyl is deep red in colour with many light surface marks. It plays without jumping but some background noise is evident, graded VG+
The original colour 'advert' inner bag has a fold-over flap at the top of the bag to prevent the record from falling out. It has no splits or tears and remains in great condition
The lyric sheet is in Ex condition with some minor creasing around the edges.
The fully laminated flipback picture sleeve is in great conditon. The laminate remains clean with no damage or lift. The flipbacks are secure with no signs of wear or repair.The edges are unscuffed with no tears, the spine has 'pinched' edges and clearly legible spine.
The all important obi-strip in simply stunning! It is made from very thin paper stock. It is white in design with dark blue Japanese text. It also features an Odeon logo, catalogue number and price information. As already stated it has been preserved in a scrapbook for over 40 years and is almost mint. The only very minor flaw is that a small mark is visible under close inspection on the back of the obi-strip where it had been stuck into the scrapbook, this mark is not visible from the front of the obi.
A better condition 'hankake' 3/4 length obi-strip does not exist - the jewel in even the most complete of collections!
