Question to EIL: I recently came about a very similar jacket in almost all respects, with an embroidered logo on the breast with the tongue logo, a labatt's blue logo and the steel wheels logo beneath the text "labatt's blue presents" "rolling stones canada" and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it? I'm not a collector. I have pictures. Thanks alot!
Re: ROLLING STONES Steel Wheels '89 (Rare official US black 'creaky'
leather tour jacket with metal zipper fastening front. Also has two side
zip pockets, left zip breast pocket, popper fastening money/plectrum
pocket, popper fastening collar, zip-upcuffs and a metal buckle up
bottom. Each popper has the 'Steel Wheels' logo and the zips all have
a superb tongue logo on the zips tags. On the left arm is a patch with
two US flags either side the 'Steel Wheels' logo, on the inside is the original 'Rolling Stones' label, size extra large) *** Shows light evidence of wear - it came from a crew-member after all and actually saw action on the tour...! *** View this product

Reissue It's part of the 2009 re-issueprogramme of Universal. Sounds very good. Would've been nice though if some 1994-2009 (Voodoo Lounge-A Bigger Bang) tracks were added.
Re: ROLLING STONES Jump Back: The Best Of The Rolling Stones '71 -
'93 (2009 issue UK 18-track digitally remastered CD album - Originally
released in November 1993, this definitive collection gathers eighteen
of the group's classics from the seventies and eighties, such as the
Transatlantic Top Ten hits 'Tumbling Dice', 'Fool To Cry', 'Emotional
Rescue' and the much-loved 'Start Me Up'. It also includes the ultimate
rock anthem 'Brown Sugar', the ballad 'Angie' and the
dance-flavoured 'Miss You', three US number one singles in wildly
different styles, a testament to the band's versatility, creativity and
lasting appeal. 'Jump Back' retains the original packaging of the 1993
edition and comes complete with a 12-page illustrated booklet
featuring comments and observations by Mick Jagger and Keith
Richards, offering fans a rare insight into the workings of the band!) View this product
Re: ROLLING STONES The Promotional Album '69 (This is by far the most
famous and legendary Rolling Stones official promotional album
available to date! Compiled by London Records in 1969, housed in a
stunning, unique picture sleeve, and distributed exclusively to
influential rock radio programmers prior to the release of Let It Bleed,
it's a funky sample of tracks from the band's back catalogue. Not
concentrating on just the hits, it features more obscure album tracks, and includes an 'arguably alternate' take of Love In Vain, available from no other source.)

Boxed? I found a copy of this album inside another rolling stones album that I bought (december's children). Looks like a US copy from 66 on the blue london label. How can I tell if it is original press?
Re: ROLLING STONES Got Live If You Want It! (Rare 1966 US 12-track

Question to EIL: I have a Mutual Broadcasting System 12 record set called "The Rolling Stones Past & Present". This was a radio broadcast set for 9/30 , 10/1, 10/2, and 10/3 1982. I also have 12 "Format & Commercial Schedule" sheets listing all the segments and commercials the radio stations had agreed to run. Also there is the original letter from the Director of Music Programming for Mutual Broadcasting describing the music special. All records, record sleeves, commercial schedules and introduction letter are in excellent condition. They might be mint expecially the records and sleeves. I also have a hard cover album box with a picture (like a silhouette) of Mick on it. Any idea as to value. Thank you for your opinion. John

Review: I now have four of the new SHM CDs in my collection, and unfortunately they all share the same characteristics; a very poor 'undynamic' sound, including a marked lack of bass. I have built a very high end neutral sounding hi-fi over many years that simply "tells it like it is". The recent "standard" release of this CD is far superior sonically. I was very surprised as my original reason for buying was to get an "improved" sound. I will keep this as a "collectible", but will not be buying any more SHM CDs for their sound quality.

Review: As a Canadian who was there, I can add that many Stones' singles were issued in Canada with picture sleeves, including "Have You Seen Your Mother..." Front photo was same shot as the front cover of the UK "Big Hits..." LP. Stones' picture sleeves were more likely to be found in Canada for releases from "Paint It Black" onwards.
