THE SMITHS Best... I (2026 UK/EU 14-track LP pressed on black vinyl. Between 1983 and 1987, The Smiths released four studio albums and a string of standalone singles that reshaped the sound of British guitar music, built on the songwriting partnership of Morrissey and Johnny Marr and remaining influential on generations of bands that followed. First released in 1992, Best… I draws together fourteen of those tracks into a single collection, opening with "This CharmingMan," the 1983 single that announced the band fully formed, and running through to "How Soon Is Now?," a song built on Marr's tremolo guitar line that has since become one of the most widely covered and sampled tracks in the band's catalogue. Between them sit "Panic," "Girlfriend In A Coma" and "Shoplifters Of The World Unite," charting the band's run of hit singles across their short but prolific career. This compilation has been out of print for decades, and with it, one of the more straightforward ways to own a broad cross-section of The Smiths' singles on vinyl. Original pressings have grown correspondingly difficult to find and command high prices among collectors, making this reissue the first opportunity in years to add the album to you collection. Picture sleeve with original cover artwork featuring English actor and Carry On star Charles Hawtrey, factory sealed. Essential).
