<I>Lady Be Good: Live In Europe With The Birdland
All-Stars</I> marks the 70th anniversary of these 1956
European recordings. Captured during Miles Davis' tour with
the Birdland All-Stars, the set documents a short but
historically notable line-up that included <B>Lester
Young</B> and the<B>Modern Jazz Quartet</B>. These
performances are particularly significant as the only known
recordings to feature both Miles Davis and Lester Young
together. Drawn from several concerts on the tour, the album
captures Davis in a transitional period in 1956, having
stepped away from the first great quintet and taken a new
group to Europe. Presented here as a vinyl-only edition
