2021 UK 10-track LP pressed on Red Vinyl. Following his
departure from Iron Maiden Paul Di'Anno formed Battlezone,
delivering a fresh run of raw British heavy metal. Children of
Madness, originally released in August 1987, was the band's
second album, recorded at Village Recorders in Dagenham and
produced once again by Ian Richardson, who'd also worked on the
acclaimed debut, Fighting Back. Where that first record is
often viewed as the band's classic release, many fans regard
Children of Madness as an underrated gem in its own right,
pushing toward a more melodic, Americanised metal sound while
retaining the aggression Di'Anno first brought to Iron Maiden's earliest
albums. The title track remains a genuine fan favourite from his
post-Maiden catalogue, combining Battlezone's heavy riffing with a
darker lyrical edge. This edition reproduces the original 1987 album
artwork, factory sealed) )
