The Beatles Rubber Soul - Export - G&L UK vinyl LP album (LP record)
|
| Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
Most UK-printed covers for this LP were issued without a front stereo indicator. A small number of copies, however, were manufactured with a stereo logo in the upper-right corner-typically silver, these versions were produced for export, with known copies consistently sourced directly from the US.
This sleeve also uses the original cover photo variation showing the loose thread visible on the right shoulder of John Lennon's jacket. On most UK issues, this thread was airbrushed out, while some overseas editions retained the unaltered image.
Matrix details: · Side 1: YEX 178-3 1 GD · Side 2: YEX 179-3 2 L
Sleeve The front laminated flipback sleeve has '12 LL Garrod & Lofthouse... Patents pending' text on the back to the lower right, and 'stereo PCS3075' top right-hand corner
There are a few light creases visible in the laminate and just a small amount of wear to the corners including two small pin holes to the top opening edge corners, presumably from previous storage or display, these remain minor and modest, flipback and otherwise only has a few light surface marks or rubs on close inspection. Overall, the panel colours are vivid, spine in superb shape, all text fully legible and only minimal wear evident to the flipbacks with a small amount of wear to the top flipback and a tiny nick in the middle of the bottom edge of the sleeve. The non-laminated back has only very light discolouration, overall, in Very Good condition if not closer Excellent.
Vinyl The labels have the legendary black, yellow Parlophone design, and show just barely any spindle marks, free from writing, sticker marks, or tears. The silver text of the track listing is clear and bright, the yellow of 'Parlophone' is striking. With No Tax Code. Original EMI advert cover
There are a few light surface hairlines or marks, more noticeable on Side Two, but these are not 'feelers', remaining cosmetic and most likely from sleeve removal and replacement than excessive play. On playback there was no significant background noise or interruption, confirming just light play, remaining excellent.
A very nice copy of this very hard to find version of this staple classic in overall great condition with super rare sleeve variant!
