The Slits' second and final studio album, Return Of The Giant Slits, saw the pioneering post-punk group take a bold creative leap. Originally released in 1981, the record marked a striking evolution from their raw debut Cut toward a richly textured sound that drew on Afro-pop, dub, and experimental influences. Produced by Dennis Bovell, Dick O'Dell, and the band themselves, the album's adventurous spirit and rhythmic fluidity cemented The Slits as fearless innovators at the intersection of punk and world music. Backing vocals from Neneh Cherry further amplify the record's vibrant energy. Now reissued as a limited edition of 1,000 copies, this version replicates the original cover artwork and inlcudes an insert with notes and credits, plus gold hype sticker. Recommended).
