A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT

THE IVEYS Maybe Tomorrow (2004 issue UK 16-track CD album from the band that were to become Badfinger and the first band to be signed to Apple Records; features 4 Bonus Recordings 'No Escaping Your Love' & 'And Her Daddy's A Millionaire' and the previously unreleased 'Mrs Jones' & 'Looking For My Baby')

Tracklisting: 1. See Saw Grampa 2. Beautiful And Blue 3. Dear Angie 4. Think About The Good Times 5. Yesterday Ain't Coming Back 6. Fisherman 7. Maybe Tomorrow 8. Sali Bloo 9. Angelique 10. I'm In Love 11. They're Knocking Down Our Home 12. I've Been Waiting 13. No Escaping Your Love - Bonus Track 14. Mrs Jones - Previously Unreleased - Bonus Track 15. And Her Daddy's A Millionaire - Bonus Track 16. Looking For My Baby - Previously Unreleased - Bonus Track
THE IVEYS Dear Angie (Rare 1969 French Apple 7" b/w No Escaping Your Love, in VG+ picture sleeve with some ringwear and ballpoint pen name on the reverse but with no tears or splits. Vinyl is in superb condition with few signs of having ever beenplayed. Label credits the band as The Yveys!)

Tracklisting: 1. Dear Angie 2. No Escaping Your Love
THE IVEYS Maybe Tomorrow (Original 1968 Portuguese Apple label 7" which also includes And Her Daddys A Millionaire. The vinyl has been preserved for 38 years by the original poly inner bag. Vinyl from Portugal is often found in a terrible state so it is amazing to find this record in this great condition. Complete with unique picture sleeve which is free from the usual defects. See 'More Info' for further details on condition of this rarity...)

Tracklisting: The Ivys (who eventually became Badfinger) auditioned for the newly formed Apple Records label in 1968. First Mal Evans, the Beatles' longtime roadie and a friend of the Iveys' manager took up their cause, followed by Peter Asher, the head of A&R for the label. Finally, they attracted the attention of Paul McCartney. A debut single was selected in late 1968 in the guise of a Tom Evans original, "Maybe Tomorrow." It was produced by Tony Visconti. The record only became a hit in Germany and Holland despite getting a worldwide release. It wasn't issued in a picture in either US or the UK. The picture sleeve is glossy with black and white image of the band on the front. The background to the picture is grey with the band name in bold red text and an Apple logo in the top right hand corner. If you look closely at the picture you can see small patches of white - this is not damage to the sleeve but was a printing flaw that is on ALL copies of this single. As so few of these singles were pressed for the initial run, it was decided that it would be too costly to reprint such a small amount of sleeves and so they were sent out with the flaw. The rear of the sleeve is white with all text in black. The flipbacks are secure with no damage or repairs. The sleeve is free from seam splits, tears, rips, ringwear and writing - unknown with sleeves from Portugal. The vinyl has only ONE very light surface mark on side 1 which prevents a true mint grading however the vinyl retains its original shine and appears to be unplayed. This is simply staggering as Portuguese records are usually in terrible shape, badly scratched with ripped sleeves. This is the hardest Portuguese Apple single to find in any condition. The lucky owner can rest assured that they won't find a better copy!
THE IVEYS Maybe Tomorrow (Rare original 1969 German issue Apple label 12-track vinyl LP, with the catalogue number 1C062-90150. This album is highly sought after by collectors as the UK release was withdrawn prior to it's July 1969 release date, and was only issued in parts of Europe and Japan. Complete with original near MINT condition front laminated picture sleeve and promo sample 'Unverkäufliche Musterplatte' sticker on the B-side label)

Tracklisting: 1. See-Saw, Granpa 2. Beautiful And Blue 3. Dear Angie 4. Think About The Good Times 5. Yesterday Ain't Coming Back 6. Fisherman 7. Maybe Tomorrow 8. Sali Bloo 9. Angelique 10. I'm In Love 11. They're Knocking Down Our Home 12. I've Been Waiting This album is legendary for many reasons, it was originally scheduled for release on 4th July 1969, however the UK release was withdrawn along with SAPCOR 7 which was going to be the Delaney & Bonnie album until released on Elektra/Atlantic then the catalogue number was reassigned to the Trash LP, this too was withdrawn. The band then changed their name to Badfinger and after recording a McCartney demo and other songs for the Magic Christian Music soundtrack enjoyed limited success. The labels are Apple labels and feature the regular sliced and unsliced side with an 'Unverkäufliche Musterplatte' sticker on the second side. Both the 1C062-90150 and SAPCOR 8 catalogue numbers feature on the labels. There are NO spindle marks around the centre hole indicating very little, if any play. The matrix numbers have been machine stamped into the dead vinyl. They are as follows: Side One 90150 A-1 Side Two 90150 B-1 The vinyl is in fabulous condition which is staggering considering it is nearly forty years old. The dead vinyl between tracks is silent and plays without ANY crackle and hiss indicating almost no play. This landmark record is made even more rare by the presence of the original 'Unverkäufliche Musterplatte sample sticker which was only used on copies used for promotional purposes, which makes the overall condition even more surprising. Housed in a superb front laminated picture sleeve with Apple logo and B1C062-90150 catalogue number on the front plus brief biography on the back. The condition of the sleeve is quite simply superb with just two miniscule staple marks at the sleeve opening, however with no lift, creasing or indentations present it has clearly been protected and loved by an avid collector and it doesn't spoil the overall beauty of the piece. You are NEVER likely to see a copy in such overall fantastic condition and we are delighted to offer this item for sale. An essential item for collectors of Beatles, Badfinger and Apple!
THE IVEYS Maybe Tomorrow (Limited 70s Italian issue of the 1969 12-track LP on a black Apple label, the original being highly sought after by collectors as the UK release was withdrawn prior to its July 1969 schedule, only receiving issue in parts of Europe & Japan. The pasted picture sleeve is still in its original open shrink & the vinyl is near mint 3C062-90150)
