LARRY LUREX I Can Hear Music (Rare 1973 US second issue wide
centre 7" vinyl single on the tan Anthem label, featuring the
'A0009-REMIX', also including Going Back. This one-off
Queen side project was organised by Trident Studio
engineer Robin Cable enlisting the full band on covers of the Beach
Boys and Carole King in an attempt to cash in on the current U.K.
'glam' craze. Freddie came up with the name [a pun on Gary Glitter,
Alvin Stardust etc] and adds his distinctive vocals to both tracks,
housed in a plain die-cut paper sleeve. We are grading the vinyl as
Very Good, on closer inspection, when we were cleaning this copy,
we noticed there is a small crack, however we have play tested and
it plays with no issues, with both labels clean. It has been a while
since we have seen a pressing of this single, and only the second
remix version we have ever seen! AN-204).
