STAN GETZ AND THE OSCAR PETERSON TRIO Stan Getz And The Oscar Peterson Trio (Verve Vault Series 2026 UK/EU 7-track LP pressed on 180-gram Black Vinyl, cut from the original analogue tapes by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound. Originally released in 1958, this session documents the meeting of tenor saxophonist Stan Getz with the Oscar Peterson Trio: Peterson on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar, and Ray Brown on bass. Recorded in Hollywood in October 1957 and produced by Norman Granz, the album captures Getz in a small-group setting that emphasises fluid phrasing and relaxed swing. Without a drummer, the trio maintains buoyant momentum across selections including I Want To Be Happy, Tour's End and Bronx Blues. This Verve Vault pressing presents the recording newly cut from the original analogue tapes. Picture sleeve with hype sticker, factory sealed).
