complemented by a wealth of rare audio and video
recordings, including a number of world premiere recordings.
These treasures were unearthed by Bruno Monsaingeon,
recognized specialist in Oistrakh and director of the
documentary 'David Oistrakh: People's Artist?' which
completes this revealing collection. The release of this box
set coincides with the 50th anniversary of the death of David
Oistrakh, one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century,
indeed of all time, who died on tour in Amsterdam on October
