in 1965, <I>Highway 61 Revisited</I> was a defining moment
in Bob Dylan's career, cementing his full transition from folk
troubadour to electric rock innovator. Backed by a band of
top-tier rock musicians - including guitarist Mike Bloomfield -
Dylan fused driving, blues-based rock with surreal, poetic
lyricism that reflected the political and cultural turbulence of
the era. Opening with the anthemic "Like A Rolling Stone", the
album moves through biting blues-rock statements like
"Tombstone Blues" and "From A Buick 6", the acerbic "Ballad
Of A Thin Man", and the rollicking title track. The closing
"Desolation Row" - a sprawling 11-minute masterpiece -
delivers a surrealist, cinematic vision that remains one of
Dylan's most celebrated works. Named after the historic U.S.
highway connecting Dylan's birthplace in Duluth, Minnesota, to
