With 'Inc' & 'R' lettering after 'Blue Note'. Deep groove with '47 West 63rd - NYC' address.
This beautiful second variant collector's copy was pressed just after "Blue Note Records" became an incorporated company & a registered trademark. The same fine sound as the 47W63rds pressings without the 'INC' and 'R' on the labels is present.
A combination of Van Gelder's sound engineering & Plastylite pressing [with or without the 'R'], this is well & truly the 'golden age' of highest quality, Blue Note pressings.
Condition : -
The heavyweight pasted laminate sleeve is graded VG. Obvious discolouration/foxing is evident towards the edges on the back. The card is still firm with two import stickers still on back with a tiny scuff at opening edge.
The colours of the labels are bright and vivid, showing a little wear to Side 1 with no tears to the print. There is a 'deep groove' visible both sides.
The vinyl has been professionally cleaned and is graded EX- after playtesting it still sounds amazing. Light cosmetic wear/hairlines can be seen in a few areas.
This Blue Note release is an acknowledged masterpiece. It should not be missing from any jazz or serious music collection for that matter. Trust us, you won't be disappointed!
