THE SALSOUL ORCHESTRA Anthology I (2023 UK/EU limited edition 'Vinyl Me, Please' series 15-track double album 2-LP set pressed on Lemonburst Vinyl Vinyl - Founded by composer and percussionist Vincent Montana Jr., Salsoul Orchestra was a big band with a twist: they played disco. Active from 1974 to the early 1980s, they served as the backing band for several vocalists on Salsoul Records and recorded their own material, which included eleven LPsof hard-hitting Philly soul, Latin percussion, and funk; including memorable hits such as Tangerine and Salsoul Hustle plus Dance A Little Bit Closer [recorded with Charo].
