SEX PISTOLS Anarchy In The U.K. (Autographed 1976 UK
7" vinyl. Wow! Not only is this little beauty an essential British punk
artefact; it's a first issue copy that miscredits Chris Thomas on both
sides of the label [later pressings added the correct Dave Goodman
credit for the B-Side I Wanna' Be Me] and is housed in the original
super limited black sleeve, this copy has been signed by
Johnny Rotten with a wonderfully stylised dedication "To
Danny, Ho Ho, JohnnyRotten Was Here" [The single was
released on 26.11.76, so we think this may have been a Xmas gift?].
The delicate sleeve is usually found in poor condition, this example
has survived remarkably well with some ringwear and edge scuffing
and the beginning of a split along the bottom edge, but still far better
than most we see. The vinyl is Excellent with a couple of cosmetic
marks not affecting play & the original four-prong centre is intact -

Obtained directly from the legendary U.K. Music Journalist, Writer, TV Presenter, and performer's vast, personal music archive, the collection spans every era from Danny's storied career. From importing the latest hip West Coast psychedelic sounds in top London import record stores in the early '70s, to being a key figure in the London punk scene, and, not forgetting, co-creator of seminal Brit' Punk fanzine 'Sniffin' Glue'.
With subsequent years spent at the NME, a very long list of television work (presenting and writing) alongside a career in radio, it would be quicker to list who Danny hasn't interviewed than who he has! Provenance of any signed items in the collection is assured.
It's a great collection with many unique and collectable items, reflecting, not only Danny's long and varied career, but also his own deep passion for music.
