The Rolling Stones Aftermath - Shadow Sleeve - Name Stickered UK vinyl LP album (LP record)
|
Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
Often compared to the Turquoise lettering Led Zeppelin, though far harder to find, this is rarest of the rare as regards a UK commercial Stones release.
The machine stamped matrices in the vinyl run offs are XARL-7209-1B & XARL-7210-5A.
Condition:
Sleeve: The all important sleeve shows just a little minor age yellowing to the rear. There is a name sticker dated 10h May 1966 neatly placed on the back and no attempt has been made to remove this. Shelfwear in general remains low, with just a very small amount of scuffing at the opening and some minor laminate lift at the spine. There is, in addition, and approximately 2" x 1" triangular section of laminate lift at the opening but in all cases the laminate is unbroken. Please see scans or contact us if you wish a more detailed 'hands on' description.
Vinyl: The labels have a typed name sticker on the Side Two label. Again, no attempt has been made to remove this. The vinyl itself, while obviously played, shows just a few light spindle marks around the centre hole. There is one very light scuff visible on Side One but this is purely cosmetic and would have no impact on play whasoever. All in all this looks to have been very well looked after indeed and still retains a fair amount of that new 'sheen', suggesting that it has been played on good equipment throughout its life.
The last time we even saw one of these was a VG copy nearly ten years ago and this is a lot better than that, even if not 'Mint' [assuming that such a thing exists].
A chance to pick up one of the 'Holy Grail' UK Stones releases at an advantageous price !
