sample issue of the exclusive limited edition 9-track
digitally remastered SHM-CD [Super High Material CD - playable
on all CD players] issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead
of the actual release. Originally released in 1985, recorded live in
Edmonton, Canada, and Dortmund, Germany in 1984, this edition
includes two bonus recordings; with a custom stamped
inner rim on the disc, housed in a mini LP-style card picture
sleeve with lyrics, promo stickered obi-strip, and remains in the
un-opened hype-stickered protected bag WPCR-13528).

The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
