Harsh Reality Heaven And Hell UK vinyl LP album (LP record)
|Tracklisting / Additional Info:
The band released a single for Phillips in 1968 (Tobacco Ash Sunday/How Do You Feel) before releasing this, their only LP in 1969. A final single followed soon after, before the band split in 1969.
This LP is now a highly-sought rarity, going for over five hundred pounds in Mint condition.
Though technically proto-prog, their work represented a marriage between the sounds of Procol Harum and early Deep Purple, with an equal nod to the heavy blues work of bands like Free & Killing Floor.
Needless to say, this copy is NOT Mint, although it is far better than most that surface.
The vinyl is graded very good, with some noticeable surface scuff marks and the occasional light scratch.
We have professionally cleaned and play tested. Apart from the odd pop & crackle, this displays no major deterioration in sound quality and plays all the way through without any problems.
The labels are the standard silver print on black Philips design of the period & are clean & bright with just a few trace spindlemarks to show for the past fifty years.
The Sleeve displays some minor wear mostly to the edges, with some laminate lift along the spine and edge scuffing & small split to the bottom open edge corner. It is still complete, intact & with very striking, unfaded artwork.
The sleeve is a front laminated gatefold design, with tracklisting, band info & the lyrics to two songs inside. There is no writing on the cover or any tears at the join of the gatefold.
If you decide to frame this in an Art Vinyl frame, most of these areas of scuffing won't even show, so this is a very acceptable sleeve indeed.
All in all a really nice example of this rare album, with vinyl worthy of repeated play & a sleeve that could be framed up nicely to display its gory details.
Given that it is NOT Mint, it can also be obtained for a seriously bargain price!
