US limited Deluxe 40th Anniversary edition 38-track 3-LP set
pressed on 180 Gram Heavyweight Vinyl, remastered
from the original analog tapes. Originally released in 1972, the
groups seminal Americana album. Features the original,
Platinum-certified album featuring a who's-who of bluegrass,
folk, and blues luminaries as primary and guest artists, including
Mother Maybelle Carter, Roy Acuff, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs,
Merle Travis, Jimmy Martin, and others, as well as compositions
by Acuff, Scruggs, Travis, Martin, Hank Williams, and Joni
Mitchell, among others. Housed in a faithfully restored highly
glossy oversized gatefold picture sleeve with a seperate gatefold
inside for the third disc, including a fold-out glossy poster
including new liner notes essay by John McEuen. The sleeve
displays some light wear mostly to the corners, whilst the vinyl
looks barely played).
