Back in 1976 it was announced that the band would be releasing a film with a soundtrack album. When all the details had eventually ironed out, the film had a double European premiere held in London at the Warner West End 2 & ABC theatres on the 4th November, all the band members where there along with guests, VIP and some lucky fans who had managed to buy tickets. After the even an after-show press party was held at the Floral Hall in Covent Garden.
One lucky fan able to get into that exclusive party and rubbed shoulders with some of the stars who attended the movie premiere, they were even more lucky enough to grab themselves an amazing memento of the evening.
Not to miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity they took one of the numerous 12" square white card promotional display boards/mobiles that featured the Swan Song logo design with a view to getting it signed
Now this is where it gets really interesting.....
The reverse plain side has been fully signed by Robert Plant, John Bonham and John Paul Jones. Along with VIP guests Bob Harris & Tom Corcoran, both from the Old Grey Whistle Test, which the band were on two days earlier. Friend of the band Roy Harper and fellow label band mates Boz Burrell and Simon Kirke from Bad Company.
All signed in a blue point pen except Tom Corcoran in a black (faded grey) pen. The previous owner has also written across the top where he acquired the signatures.
Condition-wise it holds up really well with just four small pin holes from where it was originally hung, all signatures remain clear.
A stunning item that's screaming out to be framed & displayed.
